Eventide Omnipressor

Der Anfang der 1970er Jahre eingeführte Omnipressor war der erste Dynamikeffektprozessor überhaupt. Ursprünglich von Eventides Gründer Richard Factor erfunden (und später von John Paul für die Produktion umgestaltet), ermöglichte der Omnipresssor eine Vielzahl von Effekten. Es zeichnete sich durch eine variable Steuerung aller Aspekte der dynamischen Modifikation aus. Es führte auch den Begriff der „Side chain“ ein und sagte Techniken voraus, die wir heute als selbstverständlich ansehen, wie die „Look Ahead“-Verarbeitung.
